The Story
This beautiful 14k gold bracelet features intricate Etruscan Revival wirework, with twisted gold wire, a repeating motif of squares and circles, and swooping designs along the top and bottom of the band. The gold has a gorgeous patina that gives it a warm glow. On the bottom side of the bracelet, the swooping design repeats, while the rest of band is blank; the blank side could be worn facing up or down to give this piece a bit of versatility. The bracelet opens with an integrated clasp that pushes open and closes with a click. While classically Etruscan Revival in its design, the simplicity of the bracelet allows it to pair nicely with contemporary pieces. It looks great in a stack and brings both texture and history to your collection.
The bracelet fits up to a 6.5” wrist and is 1/2” wide. It weighs 16.2 grams. It is marked on the interior with a patent for the dates 1879-1880. We believe the patent is for the design of the clasp. The inside of the bracelet is also engraved with the initials M.A.P.
