14K Gold Miniature Washington 2 Cent Stamp Charm

This 14k gold charm is a miniature of the Washington 2 cent stamp that was issued around 1894. The stamp features the profile of George Washington, bordered by a text that reads “United States Postage Two Cents”. The backdrop of the stamp has scrolling foliate and a texture of horizontal lines—that can also be seen in the ink of the real life Carmine issued postage stamp. Circa the 1930’s-1940’s, this rare charm is a great little piece of Americana. 

The charm is marked on the back as 14k. It weighs 1.15 grams. It measures 3/8” x 7/16”, and hangs from a 4 x 6 mm bail.
