18K White Gold Crescent Moon Necklace

This 18k white gold crescent moon necklace is encrusted with sparkling diamonds. The crescent moon has a rounded shape, with wonderful dimension—when it hangs from the chain it has depth that draws the eye to this excellent piece. Circa 1980’s, this vintage necklace is Italian made. It provides a great contrast when paired with yellow gold, offering a nice cool pop, as if glowing “by the light of the silvery moon.” 

There are 29 single cut diamonds ranging in size from 1.25 mm - 1 mm. In total, there is .4 of a carat of diamonds. They are VS1 in clarity and G-H in color. 

The chain is 18” and the pendant is 1” x 1/8”. The necklace weighs 5.9 grams. The chain is marked as 18k and Italy, and the pendant tests as 18k. 

White gold is making a comeback in contemporary fashion, and this necklace looks great in a mixed-metal stack, as it offsets well with yellow gold. It also looks great worn alone.
