The Story
This Victorian 14k gold ring features a beautiful elongated panel carved from a black and white banded agate. The central feature is a flower, with the white agate defining the petals. Geometric shapes carved out of the rest of the panel draw the eye to the floral center. The agate is bezel set with hand engravings around the bezel that consist of beautiful flowing lines. The ring’s shoulders have an added triangular element that joins the top section of the ring to the band, engraved with a lovely foliate motif. The elongated shape of the ring looks graceful on the finger and makes this a very pretty and feminine piece. Circa 1880.
The face of the ring measures 3/4” x 7/16”. The ring weighs 3.25 grams. Marked as 14k.
Ring size 6.
