Victorian 18K Gold Carnelian Intaglio of Julius Caesar Ring

This 18k gold Victorian ring features a beautifully carved carnelian intaglio of Julius Caesar. The portrait is well-detailed, depicting Caesar in profile with a wreath crown, curly hair, strong nose, and stoic expression. The intaglio is bezel set in an 18k gold ring shank that has a knot-like design and beautiful patina. The carnelian has a deep color to it, and is polished on the interior of the carving, giving it a rich, luxurious glow.

Julius Caesar was a Roman general and statesman who lived from 100 - 44 B.C.
