The Story

This gorgeous 14k gold pendant features a baby pink pear-shaped kunzite, surrounded by a halo of cognac diamonds. The kunzite has a lovely pink saturation and has many facets that catch the light in rows of stunning sparkle. The diamonds are prong set, with a prong at the tip of each setting to create a pattern reminiscent of a starburst or a flower. The pendant has an open back, allowing light to reflect within the stone. It hangs from a slightly larger bail that balances the pendant nicely. This feminine piece feels like it would be worn by a princess.

The natural kunzite measures 16.25 mm x 9.5 mm. It weighs approximately 8.6 carats. The 20 natural cognac diamonds range in size from  1.75 mm - 3.1 mm. The TCW of diamonds is approximately 1.25 carats. Kunzite are evening stones and should be kept in a closed box so the stone won't lose its color from UV rays. Although the color-fading effect is very slow, most people still prefer to wear kunzite jewelry in the evening to avoid exposure to sunlight.

The pendant measures 7/8” x 5/8”, plus an additional 5 x 8 mm bail. It weighs 5.45 grams.
