The Story

This is a fantastic sterling silver brooch with a hanging locket, made by the mid century master silversmith Georg Jensen. It displays one of the much loved natural forms from the Jensen vocabulary- the pineapple acorn with curling leaves. The top part of the brooch is marked with a Sterling Silver mark and "X3216A", while the hanging locket, which is actually an especially commissioned locket by R. Blackinton, is marked with the makers marks and "Sterling". The brooch measures 1 3/4 inches while the locket part is 1 x 1 inch. Circa 1950 and remains in excellent condition.
