14K Gold Reverse Painted Essex Crystal of Sand Piper Pin

This pin of a Sand Piper is an ornithologist's delight. A sand piper is reverse painted on an Essex crystal and mounted on a 14 karat yellow gold safety pin like brooch. The pin measures a total of 2 inches and the crystal cabochon that features the bird is 12mm x 16mm and bezel set in 14 karat gold. The small bird has been carved and hand painted reversely into the crystal, backed by mother of pearl giving the piece a luminous glow.
