14K Gold Signature Elephant Pendant

This 14k gold elephant pendant is rendered in intricate detail, with emotive eyes and lifelike texture. The elephant’s trunk extends upward, in playful expression. A Kirsten’s Corner Signature piece, the original elephant—taken from a piece of vintage costume jewelry—tugged at our heart strings, and so we created a mold and cast this beautiful creature in 14k gold. 

The image of a circus elephant is one that is complicated for me. I remember attending the circus as a child and being captivated by the elephants. Their empathy and family bonds were incredible, and helped me to understand the depth of intelligence that animals are capable of.  But as I grew up, I began to comprehend the heartbreaking mistreatment of elephants across the world. This pendant, to me, captures both the nostalgia of childhood and progress of the future, as circuses like Barnum & Bailey and Ringling Bros. end the use of circus animals and retire their elephants for good. For every purchase of this elephant pendant, Kirsten’s Corner will donate $100 to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, which rescues and rehabilitates orphaned elephants. 

The pendant weighs 11 grams and measures 1” x 5/8” with a 7 x 9mm bail.
