Hand Hammered 14K Gold Bezel Set Lion Intaglio Pendant

This pendant charm features a 14 karat gold hand hammered bezel and a stylized lion intaglio. Carved out of translucent agate a primitive lion raises its paw tail swaying in the air.  This is part of Kirsten's Corner signature line and was designed in house with an intaglio recently acquired that was part of a bundle of ancient intaglios. The hand hammered finish compliments the primitive carving nicely. 

The agate is a lovely pale amber with a stripe of darker amber through it when held up to the light. The piece measures 7/8" x 7/8" including the bail. The bezel setting is thick measuring 3/8" the oval bail is 6mm x 4mm. the piece weighs 4.9 grams. The age of the intaglio is unknown.
