The Story
This stunning 14k gold Tiffany & Co. scarf pin features two beautiful aquamarines prong set in the middle of the pin, offset by a 5 mm pearl at one end. The large aquamarines are very vibrant, icy shade of blue with impressive sparkle. The design of the pin is both beautiful and functional: the end has an additional shorter pin to stabilize it so that it always faces up perfectly, or allows the pin to secure a scarf. Circa 1910, the pin comes in an original Tiffany & Co. box.
The natural aquamarines measure 6.57 0 6.46 x 4.7 mm, for a TCW of approximately 1.85 carats. The cultured pearl measure 5 mm.
The pin measures 2 1/4” x 1/2” and weighs 4.4 grams. It is marked as Tiffany & Co. and XRF tests as 16k gold.
