A pear shaped sapphire makes up the lower body, and two small legs extend from underneath the insect. The brooch is fashioned like a safety pin, made of square stock that tapers into a rounded shape at the bottom of the pin. Circa the 1880’s, this true Victorian gem makes any outfit look cool.
