Vintage 18K Gold Italian Wide Snake Chain

This 18k yellow gold handmade snake chain is simple, bold, and sleek. Made in Italy, circa 1970s-80s, it's comprised of many circular links that interconnect and make a fluid snakelike design. 

Each link is hand-hammered with a texture that resembles the skin of a snake. From the side, the necklace looks braided, and it has a maker's mark of a star and “195” on the box-clasp. It's a well-sized piece, weighing 33 grams and measuring 17 1/4". The length hangs perfectly and is great for a variety of necklines.
