9K Gold Georgian Shield Shaped Bloodstone Watch Fob Pendant

This is a fantastically crafted late Georgian 9 karat watch fob-pendant featuring a shield shaped bloodstone. The piece is hand carved with luxurious and decorative lines. It's a beautiful stone, a deep green with red inclusions that resemble spots of blood, hence the name bloodstone. 

The stone measures 10 mm by 9 mm at the widest points. From the top to  bottom the fob measures less than 1". The bail opening has a 4.9 mm diameter and will accommodate a variety of chain sizes. 

Traditionally, during the Georgian era, fobs were worn as a sign of status and elegance. This fob pendant is a beautiful antique, in great condition for its age. Its great for everyday wear and makes a very special gift!
